What is Pitaya Festival?

An event that was born to connect communities through gastronomy, wellbeing, Canarian art, and live music. It takes place every other month in La Geria, the spectacular wine region in Lanzarote island.

In 2021, a group of women entrepreneurs joined forces, identifying the need to offer Lanzarote a unique space where the island’ values convey. Pitaya Festival is the event with the best vibes!

The next edition will take place on September 2023, date to be confirmed!

Programme

Yoga Workshop

Co-created by Alba Balada & Marilou Carrier around a common theme. A 2 hours yoga practice overlooking the vineyards. 

Brunch

Elaborated by the hotel’s restaurant, offering a delicious vegetarian meal, using only local ingredients. 

Canarian Market & Live Music

We have the most interesting craftwork offer in Lanzarote. Each edition we make a thorough selection of local brands & artisans that will surprise you. Could you imagine a festival without good music? Neither do we! Each month we invite a local artist to our stage.

Throughout the day, you can use the venue’s swimming pools, order your drinks from any of the two bars available, join the ad hoc activities we organise, bring your kid to the yoga class designed for them, and many other surprises! Are you ready to book your ticket?

Meet the Team

  • Laura Sanz

    COMMUNITY LEAD

    Founder of Pitaya Coliving, an ecosystem of specialised services for remote workers in Lanzarote. After many years working abroad helping people connect with technology in ways previously unknown to them, she moved back to her home country to offer Lanzarote the remote working community and services the island was lacking. Amongst many other projects on this space, she is leading Pitaya Festival.

  • Tania López

    MARKET GURU

    Founder of FAMARA SOUL, the ethical island jewelry brand that inspires women to believe in their own power. Her brand, with a social purpose, transmits values connected to feminism, environment respect, creativity, and conscious consumption.

  • Marilou Carrier

    DESIGNER & INTEGRAL YOGA TEACHER

    Founder of her brand Marilou_Yoga, which she has created and made renowned in Lanzarote in less than a year. After having worked for international marketing companies in France, she decided to move to Lanzarote to put human beings at the center of what she does.

  • Alba Balada

    PRESS MANAGER & VINYASA YOGA TEACHER

    Founder of Calma Campus, where she designs stress reduction and quality of life personalised programmes. She also has a yoga studio (and much more) in Famara. Wherever she goes she brings the calmability with her, a term she invented to train the capacity to keep calm.

  • Lucía Entrialgo

    INNOVATION LEAD

    Guardian of creative industries since the beginning of her professional career. Designer, entrepreneur and curious mind, she stands up for art’s value, culture and design as the driving forces for change in society.
